‘Citizens’ who have attended Boys & Girls State leadership programs are eligible to be recognized with social science and liberal arts academic credits from Adams State University (ASU). ASU is a state funded public university with regional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

These are fully transferable elective credits to the accredited college you select post-high school, with the concurrence of your college’s academic advisor/admission office. Junior Counselors can also earn college credits for their leadership experiences with their state programs. Volunteer with your state program for next year!
It is not too late to register students who previously attended the one-week program in the Summer of 2010, 2011 or 2012. You register as if you attended this Summer’s (2013) program and fulfill the identical homework requirement, with the same due date as current ‘Citizens’.
